As a further example of the non-critical Obama love'n "lead-up to the Election", another website has taken the bait. Some people at an online magazine called Matador Pulse included my Obama Yard Shadow as a sign of Middle America Obamamania. I have questions: (1) Did you read my sarcastic comment about him speaking to 200,000 Germans in your front yard"? (2) Did you see the fairly bad photoshop work? (3) Did you really think that "Obama Yard Art" was a good IDEA!?

All of this Oblindness is reminding me of the "Lead-Up to Iraq"...when everyone was hand in hand...even the media...not questioning the leadership.

Seems like Obama and Biden both think Abortions should be very rare. I guess the same way they think poor people should be rare, and oil drilling should be rare. I disagree...I think they should never happen...but I do have a suggestion for them. They should take some hints from the other policies they have. How about:

How about taxing abortions so much that people will think twice about risking an unwanted pregnancy?

The Missing Logos/People Groups

This post is about rainbows. It's about a muppet song that has been ruined. It's about Obama's sneaky words and hidden sections of his website. This post if for all my Christian brothers and sisters who have been snookered into Obamadom. If you peruse through the "People" section of his website, you will come across something called "LGBT". You will find a speech as well as a shiny Obama "O" logo with a rainbow at the bottom. The speech you will read doesn't say much, and you can hardly find anything to disagree with (other than him equating LGBT rights, with civil rights...which should make a few minorities really mad). So the question is left "What does he really think about this subject?" You can't really tell, other than suggesting that ONLY the democratic party wants to abolish hate crimes...and that's ridiculous.

My 2 cents: If you wanna live that lifestyle...fine. If you wanna have the same Legal/Financial rights as reproducing couples...great. If you wanna be my friend...awesome. If you want me to treat you the same as everyone else...totally fine. But please don't ask me to endorse your lifestyle.

Obey Wright Poster

If I were the people running the Obama machine, I'd be a little hesitant to work closely with Shepard Fairey. Not that he's scary or anything, but he is known mainly for his "Obey" meaningless marketing movement. When you think about it, it really mirrors Obamamania. He's everywhere, his image is everywhere, eerily similar to the "Obey" campaign. Has Shepard unknowingly become a victim of the very over-branding-excess-hype machine that triggered his initial "Andre The Giant" series? Also, it won't be long before conservatives, ignorant of Shepard's work, see the posters of Stalin and Mao and draw parallels to Obama. Please everyone slow-down. Don't you think Obama is being idolized a little too much? Honestly. Even if He's elected, do you really think he's gonna solve all your problems? I'm also calling on designers to cool it a bit with all the iconic imagery. Seriously take a look at Communist propaganda posters and let them inform and warn against too much "leader-worship". The Beginning

There's only a few things that bug me more than bad design. One of those things is good design used by people with bad ideas. I'm dedicating this blog to one of those instances in particular. That instance is the "Obama Campaign". I intend to post at least once a day about something that bothers me about the Obama Campaign. The topics will be broad but should range from design, art direction, good design used "Against Obama", policy and anything else I feel like posting about. Stay tuned. And if you're involved in design, marketing, advertising and are not swept up in Obamamania...please join me.
