Just "that mean McCain guy is about to say mean things against obama and we found out...and told obama...and he said he's gonna be mad and say some things back....YEA BOYEEEE! POLITICAL JUJITSU!....HE's SUCH A COOL GUY!"

Abortionists for Obama - Take 2!

When I made the satirical "Abortionists For Obama" logo, I thought I was pushing the envelope...but I guess I was wrong. There's actually a fundraising group on the Obama website called "Abortion Providers for Obama".The fundraising page is here.

As a further example of the non-critical Obama love'n "lead-up to the Election", another website has taken the bait. Some people at an online magazine called Matador Pulse included my Obama Yard Shadow as a sign of Middle America Obamamania. I have questions: (1) Did you read my sarcastic comment about him speaking to 200,000 Germans in your front yard"? (2) Did you see the fairly bad photoshop work? (3) Did you really think that "Obama Yard Art" was a good IDEA!?

All of this Oblindness is reminding me of the "Lead-Up to Iraq"...when everyone was hand in hand...even the media...not questioning the leadership.

Well...I STAND UP NOW...and say that Electing Barack Obama is a BAD IDEA for the country! Just wait...you'll see.... and I predict Obama art/merch selling alongside Beanie Babies in Garage Sales.

actually what we need. NPR hides the fact that Fridays debate is
covering Foreign Policy NOT the economy. (but don't fail to report the

Abortion

Seems like Obama and Biden both think Abortions should be very rare.  I guess the same way they think poor people should be rare, and oil drilling should be rare. I disagree...I think they should never happen...but I do have a suggestion for them. They should take some hints from the other policies they have. How about:

"Windfall Profits Tax on Abortions?"

How about taxing abortions so much that people will think twice about risking an unwanted pregnancy?

So I'm sure you heard about the Ludacris song that says some bad stuff about Hillary and McCain. So MSNBC runs the story...but without the content. They edit out anything that has to do with the real issues! They make it seem like they just edited out some bad words...when in reality they took out the really offensive things.

The Missing Logos/People Groups

On Obama's website there are many people groups listed that support Obama and he supports as well. Each people group has an image or logo that highlights that specific demographic. There are, however, some people groups that make up his "base" that are left out. I thought I'd start a series of logos to help him show his support for these people as well. Iraqis agree with Obama!

The Obama cheerleaders (The Press) are spinning Obama's 16 month troop
withdrawal (which is still a bad idea, but one the Iraqi PM agrees
with) like it was the right idea from the beginning. What they fail
to point out is that any troop withdrawal would not be possible
without "the surge" which he said wouldn't work. It's a Forest Gump-
ish situation. How ridiculous!

I was wrong. I'm sorry to say that Brian McLaren is more liberal than I though he was. Not just politically, but liberal in his christian doctrine understanding. "A New Kind Of Christian" was a really good book though.

Democrats Preaching Oil Drilling Abstinence!

Yes, those silly environmental fundamentalists are trying to tell us how to use our natural resources! I have one thing to say to that "Get your hands off of MY OIL!" That's nice if you think that it's morally wrong to drill for oil in Virgin environments, but don't tell me I CAN'T! That's fine if you don't want to. 

Don't you know that we have better protection now against oil spillage? Maybe we need some government programs in our schools to help us learn about our oil. We'll call it "Oil Education!" 

Indies on the Obamamania BANDwagon.

I'm starting the Official definitive list of indie-rock "Free-Thinking" bands who are now shamelessly strengthening Indie stereotypes and are gleefully jumping onto the Obama "Band" Wagon. (...Get-it...? BANDwagon...indie..BANDs....well, I thought that was funny.) It kind of makes me think that I'm not right...I'm messed up. I mean, I like all the music these guys create, and am moved by many a lyric that they have penned, but yet find myself in the unfortunate indie-minority on this one. Maybe I should just go along with the crowd. Maybe I would be liked more, or praised for my good taste. Even Pitchfork Media is hinting (not so subtly) that I should like Obama and if I don't...well...you know....

It now seems as if Obama, now the nominee, is "refining" all of his
policies. He's looking a little bit more conservative. FISA, guns,
abortion, even Iraq! Where's the mad liberals though? Anyone believe
him?

This post is about rainbows. It's about a muppet song that has been ruined. It's about Obama's sneaky words and hidden sections of his website. This post if for all my Christian brothers and sisters who have been snookered into Obamadom. If you peruse through the "People" section of his website, you will come across something called "LGBT". You will find a speech as well as a shiny Obama "O" logo with a rainbow at the bottom. The speech you will read doesn't say much, and you can hardly find anything to disagree with (other than him equating LGBT rights, with civil rights...which should make a few minorities really mad). So the question is left "What does he really think about this subject?" You can't really tell, other than suggesting that ONLY the democratic party wants to abolish hate crimes...and that's ridiculous. 

My 2 cents: If you wanna live that lifestyle...fine. If you wanna have the same Legal/Financial rights as reproducing couples...great. If you wanna be my friend...awesome. If you want me to treat you the same as everyone else...totally fine. But please don't ask me to endorse your lifestyle.

Obey Wright Poster

Here's a new poster of the Rev Wright. I think it works great with "Hope" at the bottom. I wonder if some of the Obama masses would even notice this as a sarcastic statement.

I've already been able to pass the "Obama Obey" design off as a semi-official poster. It's been posted to at least one "Obama Poster Archive". I guess no one notices the less-than-positive light it shines on Obamamania with the addition of the "Obey" moniker.

Obey Obama

If I were the people running the Obama machine, I'd be a little hesitant to work closely with Shepard Fairey. Not that he's scary or anything, but he is known mainly for his "Obey" meaningless marketing movement. When you think about it, it really mirrors Obamamania. He's everywhere, his image is everywhere, eerily similar to the "Obey" campaign. Has Shepard unknowingly become a victim of the very over-branding-excess-hype machine that triggered his initial "Andre The Giant" series? Also, it won't be long before conservatives, ignorant of Shepard's work, see the posters of Stalin and Mao and draw parallels to Obama. Please everyone slow-down. Don't you think Obama is being idolized a little too much? Honestly. Even if He's elected, do you really think he's gonna solve all your problems? I'm also calling on designers to cool it a bit with all the iconic imagery. Seriously take a look at Communist propaganda posters and let them inform and warn against too much "leader-worship". Where are the cynics?

Is everyone drinking the Obama Kool-Aid? Where are the progressive cynics who don't believe that anything will change if O is elected? Where are the people critical of his record? What has he done that makes people so infatuated with the idea of electing him? I can list great speakers all day long, and a few of them have done the world great harm. Where are the humanists that despise his faith in a supreme being? Where are the tolerance police, being critical of his close (20 year) ties with a preacher that bubbles with intolerance? Where are the postmodernists who don't trust what anyone says....especially politicians. Where are you? I'm waiting.

The Beginning

There's only a few things that bug me more than bad design. One of those things is good design used by people with bad ideas. I'm dedicating this blog to one of those instances in particular. That instance is the "Obama Campaign". I intend to post at least once a day about something that bothers me about the Obama Campaign. The topics will be broad but should range from design, art direction, good design used "Against Obama", policy and anything else I feel like posting about. Stay tuned. And if you're involved in design, marketing, advertising and are not swept up in Obamamania...please join me. And I'm adding this disclaimer "I do not plan on "designing" this blog, I have too many things on my plate and want to make this thing easy."
